The intense passion of this short medley of folk melodies is inspired by the romance of the lush nature of the tropical lands hovering over the Bay of Benga where my birthplace, Bangladesh is. The delta land saturated with passionate melodies. My sitar sings and pours out with pure joy and devotion the classical rendition of the songs. The piece begins with a melody based on a Tagore song inspired by the Hindu devotional genre called 'Kirtan' followed by Banglar Dhun a 'Baul ' (Sufis of Bengal) song.
